The case report was published in the 2nd issue of the 8th volume in the Journal of Neonatal Surgery. On receiving a complaint of duplicate publication, the authors contacted the journal for retraction of the case report asserting that it was published without the authors’ consent. The case report was accepted for publication in the Journal of Neonatal Surgery, and authors were intimated through e-mail about acceptance. There was a delay in the processing of the manuscript owing to some website-related issues. The author herself contacted multiple times for knowing the status of the manuscript. The authors were emailed to proofread the galley of the manuscript at the time of publication. Somehow the manuscript got published without receiving final input on the galley. The journal did not receive any manuscript withdrawal requests from the authors during that period. Since it is a case of duplicate publication, the editorial board has decided to retract the case report. Since the author’s claim of publishing without proofreading was right so we are not blacklisting the corresponding author this time and only a warning is issued to avoid duplicate submissions in the future.
